Yay Review 2026

Our review process · Updated

“A slots-first sweeps site with a big library, its own exclusive games, a four-tier jackpot and a low 50 Sweeps Coin redemption minimum on every route. Worth knowing: most of the 12 welcome Sweeps Coins come in steps, support is by ticket rather than live chat, and redemptions happen on the website.”

The essentials

Yay Casino Overview

Yay Casino is a slots-first sweepstakes casino with a large lobby from more than 60 studios, its own exclusive and in-house titles, and a four-level site jackpot. New players can collect up to 12 free Sweeps Coins plus 20 free spins in steps, the first 4 Sweeps Coins arrive within minutes of signing up, the default playthrough is 1x, and every prize route starts at 50 Sweeps Coins, half the 100 many sweeps sites ask for. It suits slot players in one of the 35 eligible states or DC who want a low bar to their first prize.

Yay has no live dealer or table games, so it's a weaker fit if you want blackjack or roulette tables. The True Value section below shows what the free coins are worth.

It runs on two coins:

  • Gold Coins are for fun play only. They have no cash value and can't be redeemed for prizes.
  • Sweeps Coins are the sweepstakes coin. Sweeps Coins won through play can be redeemed at $1 each, by bank transfer, Visa Virtual Card or crypto.

You never have to buy anything to play with Sweeps Coins or to redeem them. Free Sweeps Coins come from the sign-up offer, the daily bonus, a mail-in request, social-media giveaways and events. Buying Gold Coins is optional, and some packages come with free Sweeps Coins attached.

Yay launched in December 2024 and is run by Social Gaming LLC, registered in Wilmington, Delaware. Its Sweepstakes Rules are a public document, currently version 2.1, dated 20 August 2026. Part 4 covers the operator and its regulatory history.

This review covers yaycasino.com. A separate, older crypto site called Yay Casino (.us) closed in 2025, and many search results still describe it.

Yay Casino holds a 4.5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from about 10,900 reviews.

Offer analysis

Yay Casino Welcome Package, Free Coins & Promotions

The welcome offer has two parts: a free sign-up offer and new-player packages in the Coin Store. The free offer is fully public. The packages are shown only once you're logged in.

Free signup offer

Yay advertises 120,000 Gold Coins + 12 Sweeps Coins + 20 free spins, with no code and no purchase. The coins arrive in steps, and the steps ask different things of you:

StepGold CoinsSweeps Coins
Sign up and confirm your email5,0001
Verify your phone number5,0000
Opt in to email updates10,0001
Opt in to text-message updates10,0001
Claim your first daily bonus in the Coin Store10,0001
Make 150 spins in Sweeps Coin mode within your first 7 days80,0008

The first five steps add up to 40,000 Gold Coins + 4 Sweeps Coins.

  • Two of the first four Sweeps Coins need you to accept marketing emails and texts; skip those and you get 2.
  • The last 8 need 150 Sweeps Coin spins inside 7 days. Even at 0.1 Sweeps Coins a spin that's 15 Sweeps Coins of play, more than the free coins cover unless you win along the way.
  • The 20 free spins are worth 0.1 Sweeps Coins each and only work on Yay Devil Fire 2, a slot with a published 94% return to player. Yay doesn't say what currency the spin winnings pay in, whether they're capped or when the spins expire.
  • The tasks appear in your account automatically, with no promo code.
  • You don't need to verify your ID to receive the coins, only to redeem a prize later.

The Gold Coins are entertainment only. The Sweeps Coins are the part with prize value, and they carry the 1x playthrough covered under Important T&C.

First-purchase offer

Yay says new players can pick from "Special Offer packages" that add extra Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. The prices, the coins in each package and whether you can take more than one are shown only in the Coin Store once you're logged in. Yay doesn't publish a code for them.

Package Sweeps Coins carry the same 1x default playthrough as other Sweeps Coins. Check the store before you pay, because the exact offer can't be confirmed from outside.

Daily rewards and other free-entry routes

  • Daily bonus: claimed in the Coin Store once a day. It grows each day for 7 days in a row, then resets, and a claim window keeps your streak if you collect in time. The first claim is part of the welcome offer; Yay doesn't publish the later amounts. Daily Sweeps Coins are paid only while your Sweeps Coin balance is below a level Yay sets.
  • Mystery bonus: Sweeps Coins occasionally land when you log in.
  • Mail-in request: 5 Sweeps Coins per valid request, posted to Yay's mailing address in Ontario, Canada. Important T&C lists the conditions.
  • Social-media giveaways on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Discord and Reddit. These go to limited numbers of winners, so treat them as a bonus.
  • Events and challenges, such as 1 Sweeps Coin for 30 spins at 0.2 Sweeps Coins or more.

Loyalty and ongoing promotions

Every player is in the VIP programme from the start, earning 1 VIP point for every 50,000 Gold Coins or 1 Sweeps Coin played toward lifetime tiers from Bronze up. Tier upgrades bring a bonus, a birthday gift starts at Platinum, and weekly coinback sits in the upper tiers. Yay can change or remove perks. Alongside it run a weekly Gold Coin tournament and a monthly themed event with Sweeps Coin raffles.

The Yay Rewards+ referral programme, which started on 11 August 2026, pays 10% of the eligible play of friends who join through your link, buy $19.99 or more and play more than one session within 30 days. Rewards are credited monthly. Yay doesn't say what currency they pay in, and the programme isn't open in every state.

★TrueValue check

We work out what a typical player actually ends up with from this exact offer, after the price. Gold Coins count as $0. See methodology →

True Value

The free sign-up offer is worth about $3.08 on average. You need 50 Sweeps Coins to redeem for cash, and about 1 in 21 players who play it with small spins on a typical slot get there.

  • The figure uses the 4 Sweeps Coins most new players collect. The 8 behind the 150-spin challenge are left out, since most players can't fund that much play from the free coins.
  • The playthrough, coin value and cash minimum all come from the Sweepstakes Rules: 1x, $1 per Sweeps Coin and 50 coins.
  • Before the minimum comes into it, the 4 Sweeps Coins are worth about $3.84 after the playthrough.
  • The 20 free spins aren't counted, because Yay doesn't say what currency their winnings pay in or whether they're capped.
  • The Gold Coins count as $0. They're for fun play and can't be redeemed.
  • The first-purchase packages can't be valued. Their prices and coins are behind the login.

Coin amounts aren't cash, and nothing here is a guaranteed result. The daily bonus, mail-in requests, events, referrals and VIP rewards sit outside this number.

Important T&C

The conditions worth knowing, and how to handle them:

  • Plan on 1x, and know it can rise. Every Sweeps Coin you collect has to be played once, on any game except "WAR", before winnings from it can be redeemed. The rules let Yay set a higher requirement per game, promotion or region, with no stated maximum. The True Value figures above assume 1x.
  • Watch both balances. Free Sweeps Coins land in an unplayed balance. Only Sweeps Coins won through play can be redeemed.
  • Expect daily Sweeps Coins only on a low balance. The daily bonus pays Sweeps Coins only while your balance is below a threshold Yay sets.
  • Log in at least every 60 days. Sweeps Coins expire 60 days after your last login, with an email warning first. An account inactive for 18 months can be deactivated.
  • Know the win and redemption caps. Total wins are capped at 10,000 Sweeps Coins in any 48 hours, and Yay can void the excess. You can request up to 9,550 Sweeps Coins a day, and Yay can limit you to one request every 24 hours. In Florida, a prize from a single spin or play is capped at 4,900 Sweeps Coins.
  • Choose card or crypto with care. Your first transaction fixes your account to traditional banking or crypto for good, and Yay can require prizes to go back the same general way you bought.
  • Redeem on the website. Sweeps Coins can't be redeemed in the Android app.
  • Follow the mail-in rules to the letter. Request a fresh Mail Code in your account, then handwrite the required statement with the code, your name as on your ID, account email, user ID and address on one side of a sheet. Post it in a stamped #10 envelope marked "Sweeps Coins Credits", one per envelope, from the state on your account. The address is in Canada, so international postage applies, and you must finish ID verification before you can redeem the coins.
  • Check a game's pay table before you play. Yay can change a game's prize win rates at any time.
  • Prizes can be voided. The rules let Yay void Sweeps Coins or prizes retrospectively "for any or no reason", and Yay reviews play for irregular patterns before paying.
  • Redeem before closing an account. After you ask to close your account, any balance left after seven days is forfeited.
  • Public comments. The Terms list a false, misleading, derogatory or abusive public statement about the site, including on social media, among the grounds for suspending or closing an account.
  • Liability is capped. The Terms limit Social Gaming LLC's liability to US$100.
  • Disputes go to arbitration. The Terms apply Ontario law, use binding individual arbitration through ADR Chambers in Toronto and include a class-action waiver. You can opt out by posting a written notice to the Ontario address within 30 days of agreeing to the Terms.

Account journey

Yay Casino Registration & Verification

Signing up takes a few minutes. You enter your name, date of birth, state, email address and a password on one screen, or use a Google login, then confirm your email with a code. The first free coins are in your account straight away, and the rest of the welcome steps (phone number, email and text opt-ins, first daily bonus) appear as tasks. There's no document upload at sign-up.

You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher, and 21 or older for any crypto purchase or prize. Yay doesn't publish separate ages by state. Under its current rules, Sweeps Coin play is open in 35 states plus DC and excluded in 15: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Washington.

  • In California, Idaho, Michigan, New York and Washington you can't open an account at all.
  • In the other 10 excluded states you can hold an account for Gold Coin play only.
  • Louisiana, Maine and Indiana joined the excluded list in the August 2026 rules.
  • Oklahoma is eligible today, but a state ban on this kind of sweepstakes takes effect on 1 November 2026.

Places outside the US are excluded too. Yay can change its eligible states at any time, so check the state block on this page, which shows each state's status, the sweepstakes law position and both age rules.

When Yay checks your ID

You don't need ID to sign up or play. You do need it before any prize is paid, including Sweeps Coins from a mail-in request, so it's worth doing early to keep your first request from waiting. Verification covers:

  • a colour, unexpired government photo ID (passport, driver's licence or state ID), with a face scan
  • proof of address, such as a utility bill dated within the last three months
  • for bank prizes, a statement from a US bank dated within the last three months, showing the account the prize goes to (PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, prepaid and credit-card statements aren't accepted)

Yay says verification takes 3 to 7 business days, and its rules allow up to a month once all documents are in. Many players are cleared within a day. The usual causes of delay are a name or address that doesn't match your profile, a blurry or cropped document, or a bank statement that doesn't match the prize account.

Extra checks, which can include proof of income, apply to any single or cumulative redemption above $2,000. Requested documents are due within 30 days, or a redemption can be refused or the account closed.

Account rules to know

  • Payment methods must be in your name. A card or account that isn't yours gets the account suspended or closed and its coins forfeited.
  • No VPNs. Using your account through a VPN or similar service breaches the Terms.
  • Taxes on prizes, and any foreign-exchange fees on purchases, are your responsibility.

Yay Casino Purchases & Prize Redemptions

Buying Gold Coin packages

Gold Coins are bought in the Coin Store: pick a package, choose a payment method and confirm. The coins land straight away. The store and its prices are visible only once you're logged in, and Yay doesn't publish a package list.

  • Free Sweeps Coins: some packages include them, and the store shows how many with each package. Not every package does.
  • Payment: debit and credit cards, or one of 10 cryptocurrencies on the website. Crypto purchases aren't available in the Android app.
  • Fees: Yay doesn't charge its own purchase fee. Taxes may be added at checkout where required.
  • Refunds: Gold Coin purchases are final.
  • Limits: there's no self-serve purchase limit yet; ask support to set one.

The Welcome Package section above covers the new-player packages.

How prize redemption works

Only Sweeps Coins won through play can be redeemed. You can redeem when:

  • your account is fully verified;
  • the Sweeps Coins you played have met the 1x playthrough; and
  • you hold at least 50 redeemable Sweeps Coins.

Each Sweeps Coin is worth $1. You don't need to have bought anything to redeem. Requests are made on the website, not in the app, and are handled in the order they arrive. You can cancel a request while it's pending.

Yay Casino payment methods

MethodPurchaseRedemptionConditions
Debit and credit cardsYesNoMust be in your name
Bank transferNoYes50 Sweeps Coins minimum; verified US bank account in your name
Visa Virtual CardNoYes50 Sweeps Coins minimum; card and bank accounts only; issued by payouts.com
Crypto (BTC, BCH, LTC, ETH, DASH, XRP, USDC, USDT, POL, TRX)Yes, website onlyYes21+; crypto accounts only; prizes at the US dollar market rate

There are no gift-card prizes on Yay.

Your first transaction sets your account to traditional banking or crypto, and it can't be switched later. Yay can also ask that prizes go back the same general way you bought. If you plan to redeem by bank or Visa Virtual Card, buy by card; if you want crypto prizes, start with crypto.

Bank transfer versus Visa Virtual Card

  • Bank transfer: 50 Sweeps Coins minimum, paid to the verified bank account on file. Yay says transfers take 1 to 5 business days after approval.
  • Visa Virtual Card: 50 Sweeps Coins minimum, issued by payouts.com after a phone check with them and emailed to you, usable online wherever Visa is accepted. Yay says the card arrives within minutes of approval. Once it's issued, card problems go to payouts.com rather than Yay.

Redemption limits and speed

  • Minimum: 50 Sweeps Coins on every route
  • Daily limit: up to 9,550 Sweeps Coins requested per day
  • Frequency: Yay can limit you to one request every 24 hours
  • Win cap: total wins are capped at 10,000 Sweeps Coins in any 48 hours
  • Florida: a prize from a single spin or play is capped at 4,900 Sweeps Coins
  • Fees: none charged by Yay

Yay says a pending request is reviewed within 24 to 72 hours, and in some cases up to 7 days, before the prize is sent. Its Visa Virtual Card guide puts approval at 3 to 5 business days. In practice, most prizes arrive within one to five business days, and your first request is the slow one while verification finishes.

Where redemptions get stuck

Most requests go through without trouble. Some take longer, with repeated document requests during verification, a Visa Virtual Card that's slow to arrive, or a request held for an account review after a big win. The common snags are procedural and easy to avoid: a name or address that doesn't match your ID, a bank statement for a different account, a balance below 50 redeemable Sweeps Coins, or a request made from the app instead of the website. Finish verification early and redeem to an account in your own name.

Product depth

Yay Casino Casino Games & Playing Experience

Yay is a slots site first and last. Its own pages quote anywhere from 1,300 to more than 2,000 games, and the lobby lists 64 studios plus Yay's in-house range. Every game can be played with Gold Coins for fun or with Sweeps Coins for prizes.

Slots

Slots make up nearly all of the lobby, with Megaways, hold-and-win and classic sections. Yay also runs a set of Yay Exclusive titles built with outside studios, such as Yay Devil Fire 2 and Yay Crystal 777, and an in-house Yay Homemade range. Studios include:

  • Hacksaw Gaming
  • Nolimit City
  • NetEnt
  • Big Time Gaming
  • Red Tiger
  • Relax Gaming
  • Yggdrasil
  • Playson
  • Evoplay
  • Booming Games

Table games, live casino and more

  • Live dealer: none.
  • Table games: none to speak of. Earlier table titles have been removed.
  • Instant games: a few Plinko-style, scratch and keno games, which add a little variety rather than a reason to join.

If table games or live dealers matter to you, look elsewhere.

Jackpots

A four-level site jackpot, Mini, Super, Grand and Fortune, sits on top of roughly 48 slots, mostly from Edge Labs and Yay's Homemade range. It runs in both coins, and only the Sweeps Coin version carries prize value.

Game access and minimum play

You switch between Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin play from your balance. Yay publishes no site-wide minimum or maximum stake; each game sets its own, and some events ask for at least 0.2 Sweeps Coins a spin. Every game except "WAR" counts toward the playthrough. There's no demo mode, so trying a game means using Gold Coins.

Game information and fairness

Yay publishes a return to player (RTP) for each game on its public game pages. Across the lobby's featured titles they run from about 92.6% to 97.2%, and the most common figure is 94%. Check a game's information screen before you play, because one game's RTP doesn't tell you another's, and the rules let Yay change prize win rates, with the current figures behind each game's pay table.

Everyday experience

Yay's bold, comic-book look is easy to find your way around, with provider browsing, quick links to Megaways and hold-and-win games, favourites and fast loads. Phone play in the browser follows the desktop layout. The gaps are small: there are no filters for volatility or theme, some games push the balance off-screen on small phones, and switching slots can take a few seconds longer on older phones.

Eligible States

Yay says it accepts players in 36 states (counting DC). State law is a separate column: it's our tracker's reading of each state, and the two don't always agree.

Yay lists Utah, where our tracker records a ban in force. We show both. Check the site's own rules before you buy coins.

Yay sets its own minimum age of 18. Under each state we also show that state's minimum age for online gambling in general. It isn't a sweepstakes-specific rule, and the two ages can differ. More detail: gambling age by state. This is general information, not legal advice.

Trust & safety

Yay Casino Operator, Sweepstakes Rules & Security

Yay Casino is run by Social Gaming LLC, whose registered address is 2711 Centerville Road, Suite 400, Wilmington, Delaware 19808. Its mailing address, used for mail-in requests and arbitration opt-outs, is 10-8707 Dufferin Street, Thornhill, PO Box #177, Ontario, Canada L4J 0A2. The site launched in December 2024.

Yay publishes no gambling licence. Its documents set it up as a social casino with a sweepstakes promotion, and its Terms open by stating that the site doesn't offer real-money gambling.

Three public documents govern play:

  • The Sweepstakes Rules, version 2.1, dated 20 August 2026, cover Sweeps Coins: how they're given out, the playthrough, the mail-in request, prizes, minimums and caps, and the eligible states.
  • The Terms and Conditions, version 1.7, dated 6 August 2026, cover your account, purchases, conduct and disputes.
  • The Participant Eligibility Requirements, version 1.5, set out who can open an account and where.

All three are PDFs on Yay's own site, so you can read and save them before you sign up.

Security basics:

  • ID checks with a face scan, plus proof of address, before any prize is paid
  • Name checks on payment methods and on the bank account a prize goes to
  • A second review for redemptions above $2,000

Legal actions and state exits

Yay Casino is operating normally. Its regulatory history:

  • Illinois: the Illinois Gaming Board sent Yay a cease-and-desist letter on 4 February 2026, calling on it to block Illinois residents or stop offering prizes there. Illinois has been excluded since the June 2026 rules.
  • Tennessee: Yay was on the list of sites that received cease-and-desist letters from Tennessee's Attorney General in December 2025 and said they would comply. Yay ended Sweeps Coin play in Tennessee on 22 January 2026.
  • New York: Yay was on a June 2025 list from New York's Attorney General of platforms ending the sale of Sweeps Coins in the state. New York players moved to Gold Coins only in April 2025, and since June 2026 no new accounts can be opened there.
  • California: Yay ended Sweeps Coin play in California on 22 December 2025.
  • Federal lawsuits: the operator, Social Gaming LLC, is named in two pending federal class actions. In both, the defendants have asked the court to send the claims to arbitration. Lawsuits contain allegations, not findings.
  • Oklahoma: a state ban on this kind of sweepstakes takes effect on 1 November 2026. Oklahoma is eligible under the current rules until then.
  • State exits: Louisiana, Maine and Indiana were added to the excluded list in the August 2026 rules.

Operator availability and state law are separate questions. The state block on this page shows both for your state.

Yay Casino Customer Support

  • Help centre and ticket form at support.yaycasino.com, with a detailed knowledge base
  • Email: support@yaycasino.com
  • Chatbot for general questions only; the rules say it isn't a substitute for human support
  • Live chat with a person: none
  • Phone: none
  • Community: a Discord server and a Reddit community

Yay says support is available 24/7. In practice, ticket and email replies usually take from about half an hour to a few hours, and sometimes close to a day. Agents are described as polite and on point. Use the ticket form, which routes your question by topic, for anything about your account or a redemption.

Responsible Play

Yay's tools are set through support rather than in your account:

  • Purchase limits: set on request through support. Yay says a self-serve tool is in development.
  • Time-out: 2 to 30 days. Once approved, it can't be reversed early.
  • Self-exclusion: at least 6 months, with a signed form. It can't be cancelled.
  • Account closure: by email or ticket.

Yay's Player Safety Policy points to Gaming Addicts Anonymous and SAMHSA for outside help. Before a self-exclusion or closure, redeem any Sweeps Coins you can, since a balance left seven days after a closure request is forfeited.

Yay Casino Mobile App & Browser Experience

There's an Android app but no iPhone app. "Yay Casino - Social Casino", published by Social Gaming LLC on Google Play, has more than 10,000 downloads and a 3.5-star rating. Its store listing still shows an older welcome offer; the website shows the current one.

The app can't do everything. Sweeps Coin redemptions have to be requested on the website, and crypto purchases are website-only too. iPhone users, and anyone who wants the full journey in one place, can use the mobile browser site, which follows the desktop layout and runs the welcome steps, Sweeps Coin play, purchases, ID checks, redemptions and support. There are no push notifications.

Yay Casino Review Verdict — Should You Sign Up?

Yay is built for slot players. The library runs into the thousands across more than 60 studios, with exclusive and in-house titles, published per-game RTPs and a four-level site jackpot. The free offer gives most players 4 Sweeps Coins within minutes, the default playthrough is 1x, and every prize route starts at 50 Sweeps Coins, which makes a first prize easier to reach than on sites that ask for 100. Bank transfer, Visa Virtual Card and crypto prizes, with no Yay fees, give you a choice of how to get paid.

The full 12 Sweeps Coins need 150 Sweeps Coin spins in a week, so treat the last 8 as a bonus for players who were going to play anyway. Pick card or crypto before your first transaction, log in at least every 60 days, finish verification early, and request redemptions on the website.

A good pick if you: mainly play slots, want a 50-coin minimum on every prize route, like the option of crypto or Visa Virtual Card prizes, and live in an eligible state.

Consider another site if: you want live dealer or table games, live chat with a person, an iPhone app, gift-card prizes or redemptions inside an app.

What would make Yay better: publish the new-player packages and prices on the public site, add live chat with a person and self-serve purchase limits, allow redemptions in the Android app, and set a cap on how far the playthrough can rise.

The OddsGuru verdict

“A slots-first sweeps site with a big library, its own exclusive games, a four-tier jackpot and a low 50 Sweeps Coin redemption minimum on every route. Worth knowing: most of the 12 welcome Sweeps Coins come in steps, support is by ticket rather than live chat, and redemptions happen on the website.”

No. Free Sweeps Coins can be played and the winnings redeemed once your account is verified and the 1x playthrough is done. Redemptions are requested on the website, not in the app.

How long do Yay Casino redemptions take?

Yay says a pending request is reviewed within 24 to 72 hours, sometimes up to 7 days, and that bank transfers then take 1 to 5 business days while a Visa Virtual Card arrives by email within minutes of approval. In practice, most prizes arrive within one to five business days. The first request is the slowest while verification finishes, which Yay says takes 3 to 7 business days.

It's unavailable in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Washington, and Oklahoma's ban takes effect on 1 November 2026. The last 8 Sweeps Coins need 150 spins in Sweeps Coin mode within 7 days. The 20 free spins are worth 0.1 Sweeps Coins each on Yay Devil Fire 2.

What is the Yay Casino first-purchase offer?

Yay says new players can choose from Special Offer packages with extra Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. The prices and coins are shown only in the Coin Store after you log in, so the offer can't be confirmed or valued from outside.

What is the playthrough on Yay Casino Sweeps Coins?
