The Dutch gambling regulator's published decision of June 2026 identifies the operator as Chestoption Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada, a company based in Costa Rica. Vave's help centre says the site holds a Curaçao licence, but there's no seal on the site to check it against, and we couldn't confirm the entry on the Curaçao register ourselves. Vave has been running since 2022.

In June 2026 the Dutch regulator fined the operator €3.08 million for accepting players from the Netherlands without a Dutch licence; the Netherlands is on Vave's restricted list.

Vave says it uses SSL encryption on the site and keeps player crypto in cold wallets.
